Baby-moon

The Bed and Breakfast in Excelsior Springs, MO was great. It is called the Inn on Crescent Lake

The amazing pool, outdoor hot tub, and fire pit

Us enjoying the pool. Me sporting the maternity swimsuit. Finally broke down and bought one for this trip, I am so glade I did. A swim in the pool was amazing and so relaxing. Took a little while to get used to swimming with a pregnant body, but in the end I loved it. Ready to put one in our backyard to beat the Missouri summer heat!

Our room and amazing tub/sitting room. Did not get a picture of the bathroom, but it was also very unique and cozy for our attic room getaway. Our suit was called the Crescent suit, we loved it! There was a king size bed, huge tub, amazing little window seat that was the size of a twin bed, and (for any other pregnant moms out there) are very own thermostat so I could keep it nice and cold! Yes, I am always saying " I am so hot". Hmmm wonder why?

The inn is surrounded by a private crescent shaped pond that they stock with fish. We enjoyed two days of fishing and just cruising the lake in their bass fishing boat. We even caught two bass and too many sunfish to count. For a girl who has not fished since she was very young it was a lot of fun. By the end of the day I was taking my own fish off the hook (pretty proud of myself). Never did get to bate my own hook....there is always next time (yuk!)

Overall it was a great get away. We did not want to leave when the time came, but we did miss our girls. Thank you Mom and Dad C for watching the little ones. Only 8 more weeks to go until Baby # 3 is here!

Awesome! Aaron and i stayed @ the Inn on Crescent Lake to celebrate Father's day & our Anniversary a few years ago. It was the first time we had ever been away from Abigail overnight. I have always wanted to go back and spend more time there. Brought back memories to see your pictures. I'm so glad you guys were able to enjoy a great time away before baby #3!
